New Year's Eve Fireworks in London: how to get tickets

The last chance to get tickets for this year's event was noon on Friday December 2 2016.
In the past few years the popularity of London’s New Year’s Eve fireworks display has rocketed, and that's probably got something to do with the spine-tingling spectacle we pulled off in 2011 to welcome in the Olympic year.
These days, our prodigious pyrotechnics make most other world cities’ look like damp squibs. Crowds of thousands line the Thames on December 31 to see the show live. So many thousands, in fact, that NYE's fiery spectacle is now ticketed. Here's the 2015 display and the latest info on how to be there:

London's New Year's Eve Fireworks: how do I get tickets?
Tickets for the New Year's Eve fireworks display went on sale at noon on Friday October 21 2016.
The last chance to get tickets for this year's event was noon on Friday December 2 2016.
You'll be able to buy up to four tickets per person and tickets are priced at £10 each.
The best firework viewing locations are sectioned off and made only available to those who have tickets, each with amazing views of the display guaranteed.
There will be five viewing areas along the Thames and on Waterloo Bridge and Westminster Bridge, as well as an accessible viewing area. You can select your ideal spot when you buy your tickets. Tickets are available from the Mayor of London's website.
And remember, organising tickets in advance also means that you won't have to set up camp somewhere weird along the Thames in the cold at 4pm, just to stake out a spot.
